CAMHS Services

There are lots of different services which make up CAMHS. To find out more about each individual service, see below or visit one of the pages in the menu on the right.

Children Looked After and Adoption Team (Nottingham County)

We support and maintain the emotional and mental health needs of children in care living in foster care or residential placements in Notts.

Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team

Our service is here for young people who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Developmental Neuropsychiatry Tic Disorder Service

We support children and young people aged 5-18 to manage tic disorders such as Chronic Motor Tic Disorder and Tourette Syndrome.

Eating Disorder Team

We assess and provide treatment for children and young people aged up to 18 years with a significant eating disorder.

Intellectual Disability Team

We support children and young people who have a moderate to severe intellectual disability and mental health needs.

Paediatric Liaison Service

We provide a therapeutic service to children and young people aged 0-18 and their families with chronic, acute and life-threatening illness, disability and bereavement.

Community CAMHS

We provide support for children and young people aged 0-18, their families and carers across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County.

Head 2 Head Team

We are an assertive outreach team. We work with young people up to the age of 18.

Mental Health Support Teams In schools

The CAMHS Mental Health Support Team is a new collaborative trailblazing service across health and education, available in project schools across Nottinghamshire.

Paediatric Liaison Team

We work with teams that provide acute and secondary care to children aged up to 19 years who attend Nottingham University Hospitals and Sherwood Forest Hospitals.

The Children Looked After CAMHS Team (Nottingham City)

We support and maintain the emotional and mental health needs of children in care in the Nottingham City area, recognising the importance of working with children’s networks to promote placement stability.

The Lookout Adolescent Unit

The Lookout Adolescent Unit is a 32-bed inpatient facility for children and young people aged 13-18 years old.

CAMHS External Services

  • CAMHS ASD Assessment Pathway: To support the Community Paediatric pathway for assessment of possible Autism. This is for young people with additional complexity such as comorbid or differential presentations for example in relation to cognitive abilities or developmental trauma who do not sit within a CAMHS service and whose assessment needs can be met within Paediatrics.

CAMHS Clayfield’s

The Clayfield’s Health Teamwork within the Nottinghamshire Local Authority Secure Estate. It is a Secure Residential Unit, which accept referrals for young people from across the country and have a combination of both welfare, and Youth Justice beds.

Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

East Midlands FCAMHS is a multidisciplinary service providing advice, consultation or support to services and teams which work with young people who exhibit risky behaviours, or who are in the youth justice system and have mental health difficulties.
