Trust's partnership work recognised at national awards

Nottinghamshire Healthcare has been shortlisted in two categories in the HSJ Partnership Awards 2020 for its partnership work with Priory Healthcare and Bassetlaw Integrated Care Partnership.

The Trust is a finalist in the ‘Best Healthcare Provider Partnership with the NHS’ category, for its partnership work with Priory Healthcare, who together have established an end-to-end pathway for acute mental health patients in Nottinghamshire, ensuring more patients receive high quality care closer to home.  The partnership has grown from an initial small contract of beds at Priory Hospital Nottingham, to further support at Priory Hospital, Priory Hospital Calverton Hill and Priory Hospital East Midlands. Following the partnership with Calverton Hill, the Trust was able to repatriate over 80% of their existing out of area placements.

Our partnership work with Bassetlaw Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) has been recognised in the ‘Best Not for Profit Working in Partnership with the NHS’ category.  The ICP is chaired by the Director of Bassetlaw Community and Voluntary Services (BCVS) and is made up of local partners across the voluntary sector, NHS and local authorities, and it has been selected based on their diligence, ambition and the positive impact on both practitioners and local people within the health and wellbeing sector in Bassetlaw.

Together the partnership has achieved change for local people, including public transport improvements, more young people involved in shaping health services, work with the private sector to strengthen employment support for people with long term conditions, a workforce strategy, joint work on housing and getting more people engaged in physical activity.

John Brewin, Chief Executive of Nottinghamshire Healthcare said: “We are delighted that our partnership work with Priory Healthcare and Bassetlaw Integrated Care Partnership have been recognised. The collaborative efforts of both partnerships, and their success, is down to the teams and individuals involved who strive to ensure we deliver improved outcomes for patients and their families.”

The HSJ Partnership Awards highlight the most effective partnerships between the private and third sector, helping the NHS deliver better services and improved outcomes.

The award winners will be announced on 27 February 2020.
