The ‘best of the best’ have been celebrated at Nottinghamshire Healthcare’s annual OSCARS awards for 2023 on 7 July.
The OSCARs (outstanding service contribution and recognition scheme) recognise the achievements of the Trust’s staff and volunteers and provide an exciting opportunity for finalists to share their successes and celebrate together.
Ifti Majid, Chief Executive at Nottinghamshire Healthcare said:
“We had a fantastic evening at our OSCARS event and we’re incredibly proud of all our colleagues – celebrating their brilliance and recognising best practice across the Trust helps us to continue to provide quality services for patients and families along with our partners and stakeholders across the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System and wider across the region.”
This year we received over 750 nominations, which is incredible. Nominations were across eleven categories, including Unsung Hero, Leadership, Team of the Year, Environmental Impact, Educator of the Year, Quality Improvement/Research Excellence, Volunteer of the Year, Outstanding Care and Compassion and Lifetime Achievement.
Andrew Dobb, Family Support Worker, winner of our Outstanding Care and Compassion Award said “To win the ‘Outstanding Care and Compassion’ Award, only two years into my career within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), has been really validating and encouraging.
“To have been nominated by some of the families I’ve worked with is even better – that they’ve taken time to share some kind words is just the best feeling ever.”
Guy Thomas, Mental Health Practitioner from the City Homelessness Specialist Mental Health Team who won Team of the Year Award – Clinical, said:
“Our team really appreciated receiving the nomination and we're thrilled to win the award.
“It's so important to recognise the needs of the people we support and how collective work can make a shift in the outcomes they achieve”
