Nicola Shinn, Ward Manager said:
“The three-day conference was extremely beneficial to share knowledge and information from a multitude of fields about autism throughout the lifespan, we networked with a range of individuals from across the globe from researchers, practitioners, autistic people, families and carers from such places as USA, Poland, Ireland, Belgium, Japan and Denmark! We’ll be in touch with those professionals to liaise with them for research and knowledge sharing.
“It was of real importance to share research and knowledge about autism with professionals from across the globe, learn from other countries practices and understand other countries societal acceptance of autism. It appears from the congress that the National Autistic Society and the UK in general are leading the way for autism acceptance. We will continue to share and signpost any information.”
