The purpose of this Involvement, Experience and Volunteering (IEV) report is to provide assurance that the Trust is fulfilling its aims to listen and to collaborate with people. It provides key data and some highlights of our work and the difference and impact it has made.
We work with service users, carers, families, volunteers and our wider communities to improve services and make a difference to people's lives. This work is supported by the IEV Team, our volunteers and a network of directorate IEV and Carer Leads.

We work with service users, carers, families, volunteers and our wider communities to improve services and make a difference to people's lives. This work is supported by the IEV Team, our volunteers and Involvement Partners, and a network of directorate IEV and Carer Leads.
Our work links to the Trust's strategy and the objectives around our people and our care (by ensuring we are inclusive of our diverse communities, and by listening to and working with people to ensure that what matters to them shapes our care and support). As a result of the Section 48 review and CQC inspections we have refocused our work to support the Rapid Improvement Boards and the Big Improvement Plan across the Trust.
This year people have worked in partnership with us in a range of activities including collaboratives across the local health and social care system, patient and carer forums, improvement projects, training, staff recruitment and audits.
We continue to listen to people in many ways through, groups, forums, surveys and online stories online on Care Opinion. All the feedback we receive from surveys is visible online, as are responses to Care Opinion.
Volunteers continue to play an important role in the Trust. We have increased our feedback volunteers and care dog volunteers as well as those working in partnership with us to improve services.
We have continued to work to involve, support and communicate with carers and have begun work on a project to improve how we communicate with carers.
