Trust shortlisted in HSJ Partnership Awards

We are delighted that the Trust has been shortlisted, alongside Isla, in the HSJ Partnership Awards in the Healthtech Partnership of the Year category.

The Trust uses a visual technology solution called ‘Isla’ to facilitate wound management, post-surgical recovery and therapy interventions across Nottinghamshire

The Trust and Isla have been shortlisted for this award due to the benefits this partnership has seen in improving patient care.

The technology used enables patients, carers and guardians to securely and remotely share images and videos of wounds, skin tears, pressure ulcers and other ailments to enable clinicians to triage and treat patients more efficiently.

Keeley Sheldon, Executive Director of Community Services said:

“I am thrilled to see our partnership recognised at a national level. It has proven to be a really important tool to support how patients are assessed and treated. It has provided clinicians with valuable additional context when treating patients and helped address waiting lists, meaning we are able to provide the best possible care. Well done to all involved, wishing them the best of luck for the next stage.”

This technology was first implemented as a way to provide care in an alternative way during the heights of COVID. This was particularly effective for patients who were shielding where an alternative method was needed to ensure they were receiving the best possible care, whilst having minimal contact, and this proved to be really effective.

Frankie Cook, Service Transformation Lead said: “Our work with Isla has made a significant impact in how community services deliver patient care. We are proud to be recognised through the HSJ Partnership nomination as it is testimony to our collaboration with Isla and the real difference it is making to front line care delivery”.

The Trust chose Isla to be this solution across the Trust due to its ability to process high-resolution visual data that can be accessed easily by service users from their own devices.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 23 March.
