Record-breaking year for Nottinghamshire Healthcare’s OSCARS Awards

Nottinghamshire Healthcare is delighted to announce a record-breaking 936 nominations have been received for its annual Outstanding Service Contribution and Recognition Scheme (OSCARS) volunteer and staff awards-over 140 more than last year, marking the highest number in the event's 22-year history.
The OSCARS celebrate the dedication, compassion, and innovation of volunteers and colleagues across the Trust, recognising those who go above and beyond to provide outstanding care and support. This year's nominations highlight the remarkable work taking place every day, from life-changing patient care to essential behind-the-scenes contributions.
With nominations now closed, the two-stage judging process is underway, involving representatives from colleague networks-including the LGBT+, BME, Disability, and Armed Forces networks-alongside volunteers, previous winners, non-executive directors, and senior leaders. In the first stage, individual judges will review and select their top four nominations in each category. A second panel will then meet to finalise the shortlist and determine the winners, with the shortlist set to be announced towards the end of April.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for July in Nottingham, where shortlisted individuals and teams will be honoured, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors. Nottingham-born TV and radio presenter Emma Caldwell will host the event, ensuring a memorable evening for all attendees.
