Rampton Hospital has received an impressive score of 99% and a rating as Green – Substantial Compliance, in its annual audit by the Prison Service, which looked at the risk reduction and security in place at the Hospital.
The high secure hospital near Retford, which is managed by Nottinghamshire Healthcare, has consistently received excellent ratings each year, reflecting the dedication of staff to ensure the safety of patients, colleagues and the public.
The team that carried out the audit fedback that they were extremely impressed with the levels of engagement, courtesy and hospitality shown to them by staff throughout the Hospital during their visit.
They passed on their thanks especially to ward staff and staff in the Therapy and Education service, who they commended for their professionalism, practice and compassion. A special mention was also given to two ward teams who had invited the auditors to observe their practice.

The security and safety of our patients, staff, visitors and the public is paramount and this fantastic result reflects this.
“We are delighted to have improved on our score from last year. It shows that we addressed the areas highlighted in last year’s audit and were able to demonstrate our commitment to safety and security and continual efforts to reduce risk.”
