On Psychological Professions Week 2022, we are absolutely delighted to share that our Clinical Psychology Cancer Service has received further funding from the East Midlands Cancer Alliance to continue our fantastic East Midlands Cancer Alliance Integrated Training and Video Therapy Service (EMCAVS), for another year. This service includes many outstanding psychological professionals who provide a comprehensive, evidenced-based package of support for cancer patients across the region.
The theme of the conference is to focus on transitional issues in patients with Learning Disability and/or autism in forensic services.
We are very proud of our Tissue Viability Nurse, Amy Townsend, who has received a Cavell Star award. An inspiring national awards programme, Cavell Star Awards are given to nurses, midwives, nursing associates and healthcare assistants who shine bright and show exceptional care to one of three groups of people, their colleagues, their patients or patients’ families.
New state-of-the-art technology will see patients with respiratory infections or a flare up of a long-term lung condition across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire monitored from the comfort of their own home rather than in hospital.
We are very proud of Cherry Rumsey, Community Matron, Lana Naylor, District Nurse, Hiedi Swift, Respiratory Nurse Specialist and Lesley Mountney, Community Paediatric Matron. All have been awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse (QN). A Queen’s Nurse title is given to individual nurses who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to patient care and nursing practice.
