The Open Doors Event, run by Kier Construction, is a unique chance for people to see behind the scenes at major ‘live’ construction sites across England, Scotland and Wales. The initiative is from 27 March - 1 April 2017.
Kier Construction is currently building the Trust's new £21million mental health services hub for children, young people and families on Mansfield Road in Nottingham. This site has been registered for their Open Doors initiative.
Although aimed towards those interested in a career in the construction industry, the initiative is open to all and provides the opportunity to discover how buildings and structures are constructed and to find out about the diverse range of skills and professions needed on sites.
If you would like to take part in Kier’s initiative interest must be registered on the Build UK Website. The visit will involve a short presentation and a walking tour of the site. Please note places are limited and the event is open to children aged 11-18 and adults.
