The Trust is supporting the first ever National Clean Air Day today and we hope you decided to get involved.
Air pollution is real and harms the health of millions. Unlike other risks to our health, lots of people don’t know what causes air pollution, what effects it has on our bodies or how to reduce our exposure to it. But there are lots of simple things we can do to improve air quality and look after our own and other people’s health.
You can find out more here about the health implications of air pollution.
You can also find out about events taking place today, including an event at INTU Victoria Centre running until 3.00pm.
Let us know if you have taken part…
Hopefully there are lots of you who have taken part today, whether that was walking your children to school, walking or cycling to work, or even turning your engine off during your drive to work (when safe to do so).
Hopefully some of you made a pledge and we would love to hear about it. The pledge template can be found here , and what we’d really love is if you share a photo on Twitter, remember to include the hashtag #NationalCleanAirDay and tag us @nottshealthcare.
