Congratulations to Trevor Clower, Volunteer/ Parent Carer, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award in the NottinghamshireLive Heroes Awards.
The awards celebrate and honour the achievements of the remarkable people who make Nottinghamshire a better place.
Trevor is a champion for unpaid carers. His dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment have made a difference to the health and wellbeing of unpaid carers in Nottinghamshire. He has done a huge amount for the Trust over the years, including helping to design a Carers Awareness Course for all of our staff.
Since 2013, Trevor has run the Carers Roadshow - which combines the resources of 93 organisations to provide advice and support to unpaid carers. Trevor has staged 20 shows a year for the past eight years, ensuring that people who have taken up an extremely demanding and sefless job, are getting the care that they deserve in turn. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Trevor was not daunted - holding a virtual roadshow, to ensure that his good work could continue.

Well done Trevor, thoroughly deserved.
Also well done to Sarah Atkinson, Learning Disabilities Primary Care Liaison Nurse, who was shortlisted as a finalist in the Healthcare Heroes category. Although she didn’t win she was one of only three finalists, which is a fantastic achievement.
