Festive cheer fills Lings Bar Hospital

Lings Bar Hospital was alive with the festive spirit last week as 45 pupils from Pierrepont Gamston Primary School visited to spread Christmas joy through the power of song. The children's performances across three wards and at the hospital's Christmas fair brought smiles to the faces of patients and staff alike.

Becky Asquith, Teacher and Choir Leader, said, "Seeing the smiles, hearing the singing, and even watching patients dancing in their seats was a truly heartwarming experience that our pupils cherish every year. It's a wonderful opportunity for the children to live out our school values of Radiating Love and Cultivating Hope."

The visit coincided with the Lings Bar Hospital Christmas Market, a highlight in the hospital's calendar that combines festive fun with meaningful fundraising.

Becky Sutton, Chief Operating Officer said, We are thrilled to see the Lings Bar Hospital Christmas fair thriving. This event is so much more than a fundraiser-it's a chance to support our patients in ways that go beyond NHS funding. The money raised will help provide therapeutic activities and resources that bring joy, comfort, and meaningful engagement to our patients, making a real difference to their well-being.

The collaboration between Pierrepont Gamston Primary School and Lings Bar Hospital demonstrates the power of community spirit and the joy that music can bring, particularly during the festive season. The Trust extends its heartfelt thanks to the pupils, staff, parents, and everyone who contributed to this uplifting day.
