Hucknall Children's Centre, run by Nottinghamshire Children and Families Partnership (NCFP), a partnership consisting of Nottinghamshire Healthcare, Family Action and North Notts College, are joining forces with Butler's Hill Infant and Nursery School, Broomhill Junior School and Rocking Horse Nursery to organise their second annual Hucknall May Festival.
The festival, which will be held on the Butler's Hill and Broomhill Children's Centre and Broomhill School site, will open its gates to the local community on Saturday 2 May at 11am.
There will be lots of attractions for families including White Post Farm, Circus Skills, Hawks of Steele's demonstration of their fantastic birds of prey, along with craft activities, bouncy castles and refreshments including a BBQ and cake stall.
There will also be a ‘Showcase Arena' where local organisations and groups will demonstrate their skills including Kickboxing, Dancing, Zumba, finishing with a tug-o-war competition! Most activities will be free but there may be a small charge for some activities.
In addition to activities, there will be information stalls provided by local community groups.
Michelle Squires, Community Development Worker, said:
“This event is suitable for the whole family, with activities suitable for babies right up to 11-12 year olds. It's great to be able to work in partnership with so many groups and to bring the local community together, demonstrating that Hucknall has a lot to offer.”
