Environmental Impact Award


Image of handover Environmental Impact award - Non Clinical This award recognises the achievements of an individual or team who has implemented environmental improvements within their area of work.

The improvement may be in a clinical or non clinical setting and relate to any area(s) of environmental management, including but not limited to, waste, biodiversity, energy, resource use e.g. single use plastic, water, air quality or travel and transport.

 

In addition to the core criteria the judges will be looking for evidence of:

  • How the individual or team has integrated sustainability into their working practice?
  • How the individual or team has demonstrated creativity, innovation, teamwork and ambition in their improvement(s)?
  • How the individual or team has influenced other colleagues and volunteers, and/or patients, service users and carers?
  • How the changes made could be replicated elsewhere to deliver improvement throughout the health and care sector?
